Day 100

Coast to Coast – Hello Seattle!

Have just completed the first 100 days of Living Off Groupons so I thought it would be an opportune moment to recap where I’ve been the last few months:

Chicago, IL (11 days over 3 visits)

Indianapolis, IN (1 day)

Cincinnati, OH (8 days over 2 visits)

Columbus, OH (4 days)

Cleveland, OH (3 days)

New York City, NY (10 days over 2 visits)

Philadelphia, PA (5 days over 2 visits)

Boston, MA (6 days)

Baltimore, MD (3 days)

Washington, DC (17 days)

Nashville, TN (11 days over 2 visits)

Memphis, TN (4 days)

Louisville, KY (3 days)

Milwaukee, WI (6 days)

Minneapolis, MN (7 days)

Seattle, WA (1 day)

I also passed through or stopped in the states of New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut & Virginia making a total of 16 states! Day 100 turned out to be a bit of a whirlwind as I was inundated with phone calls, text messages, emails, tweets, and Facebook & blog comments. This was partially due to the amazing turnout of Seattle locals wanting to meet up while I’m in town and the multitude of press trying to get in contact with me, presumably as a result of my CNN interview. This evening I did a live phone interview with WCCO radio in Minneapolis while hanging out at Peso’s Kitchen & Lounge in Seattle. Stay tuned for more as I have an interviews Wednesday morning 8/18 with The Candy + Potter Show on 94.1 KMPS (Seattle radio) at 7:40AM PST and a 9:15AM PST with Q13 FOX (Seattle TV)! On the agenda (tentative) for the coming week or two in Seattle includes: 8/18 Interviews, meetup with @ColinIsMyName and his cohorts, dinner and a photo shoot with a local photographer around the city. 8/19 Winery Tour & Tasting 8/21 Seahawks/Packers game (hopefully!) 8/22 Queen of Seattle Paddlewheel Cruise Unscheduled activities include: The Space Needle, The EMP, a tour of that coffee company this city is known for, cooking classes, boating, eating, a haircut, a massage(s) & whale watching!!! Call/text me at (847) 452-9181 if you’d like to make plans in the Seattle area between now and 8/26.

  1. Yay! You got to Kerry Park – that’s a must see for coming to Seattle. This is definitely a city you’re going to have to visit again before the year is over, you’re not going to have enough time to do it all in one trip. :)

  2. Don’t fail to visit West Seattle! It’s just a short trip across a short bridge, and is so worth it. There are lots of great eateries, bars, shops, parks, beaches, and great people who are rabid about Groupon over here!

  3. Still cant believe you missed so much in VA hopefully you can find your way back east and visit Williamsburg ,The Blue Ridge Parkway, VA Beach ,Richmond, Monticello, ect…
